CNAME Records in Cloud Hosting
In case you have a cloud hosting plan from our company and you want to set up a CNAME record, it will take you only a few clicks to make it happen. You can access the DNS records for all domain names and subdomains hosted within your account through the Hepsia Control Panel included with every single plan and adding a new record is as easy as clicking on a button, choosing the type, which is CNAME in this case, entering the actual record value and saving the modification. If you've never added such a record before, you will find a Help section with a detailed video tutorial you can watch, or you can simply contact us and we will assist you with this task. If you have set up a website using another provider, you want to use a private URL for your webmail or you want to designate a subdomain to be used with the services of a different provider, for example Google Apps, all it takes is setting up a CNAME record with a couple of clicks within your CP.
CNAME Records in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you have a semi-dedicated server with our company and you wish to create a CNAME record, it requires only a couple of mouse clicks to complete this task. The plans are handled through our in-house built Hepsia hosting CP in which you will see a section devoted to the DNS records of the domains and subdomains hosted in the account. To create a CNAME record, you will only have to select the record type and the hostname (domain or subdomain), enter where the latter is going to be redirected to and save the modification. The new record is going to be active almost immediately in our system and will propagate worldwide within several hours. Changing or deleting an existing CNAME record within the account is equally easy and takes a click. If you experience any difficulties, you can go through our comprehensive help article, see the short video on the subject that we have added in the CP, or you can just contact us for assistance.
